LUMiRiSE is a Japanese rock band formed in November 2022, with its live debut in January 2023. Three members, guitarist Kurumi, bassist Oto and drummer MIZukI, came from the earlier band Re_roll. Founding vocalist L left in February 2024 and current vocalist Kotomi joined that June.
Their sound is deliberately diverse, weaving rock and metal together with pop, EDM, hardstyle and even rap elements. Their first full album, encore. (stylized as a not-equal sign followed by encore), arrived on 5 May 2025 and drew strong reviews internationally. At the end of 2025 the band announced that Kurumi and Oto would leave around their second-anniversary concert in June 2026.
